MR. SIMON ADEMOLA AKINTEYE (Director)
Simon, a holder of Bachelors of Science Degree in Applied
Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK, a Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer, a Chartered Accountant, with MBA
(Wealth Management) from Manchester Business School, United
Kingdom has over a decade working experience spanning: Audit,
Manufacturing, Construction, Banking and Telecommunications, ten
of which he spent with four banks in Nigeria.
He is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of
Integrated Microfinance Bank Limited (IMFB)
He was an Assistance Vice President with responsibility for four
strategic business groups: Enterprise Banking, Corporate
Banking, Personal Banking and Public Sector in addition to the
Customer Relationship Management of the Lagos Mainland
Operations of First City Monument Bank Plc. Simon outstanding
performance at FCMB Plc got recognized with an MD/CEO's Award for
the most improve business Office of the Year for the Bank’s
Financial Year Ending April 30th 2006.
Prior to this, he was the Head, Corporate Sales (Financial
Institutions) at Globacom Limited, the Licensee and Operator of
Glo Mobile, Glo Gateway, Glo Online and Glo Fixed (second
National Operator in Nigeria). His areas of responsibilities
include sales and marketing of post paid facilities to Banks,
Insurance Companies, finance Houses and Insurance Brokerage
Firms. He was able to leverage on his contacts in the Financial
Services Industry over the years to carve out a niche and expand
the frontier of the business along these lines.
At National Bank of Nigeria Limited, he was the Divisional Head,
Institutional and Enterprise Banking Division, with overall
responsibilities for multinationals, conglomerate, to
telecommunications, energy and construction, structured trade
finance, commodities and beverages sectors. He was also at
various times Branch Managers, Apapa Branch (2001/2002),
manager, Corporate Banking Group (2002), Group Head
Institutional Banking Group (2003/2004), and Divisional Head,
Institutional and Enterprise Banking, Lagos (April 2004 –
November 2004).
Simon was an award winner at different times while a National
Bank. An award winner for the most profitable Branch Manager
(December 2001), the most profitable Profit Center Manager Award
(March 2003), the most profitable Group Award (March 2004).
Hand-on-Manager of people, diverse corporate and commercial
customers with deep understanding of the interfaces between
customers expectation and the demand of professional excellence
with a clear understanding of where to draw the fine lines. He
possesses a solid network of contacts across different facet of
the Nigerian public and private sectors, which he surely would
leverage to achieve set business development goals.
The wealth management MBA at Manchester Business School has
enabled him to build up a network of business associate across
the globe in the Financial Service Industry ranging from Senior
to Top Management in organisations such as: Klienwort Benson,
UK; Insinger Beaufort, Hong Kong; New World Trust Corporation,
Switzerland (UBS), UK; KSBC Guyerzeller, Zurich; bank of Bermuda
Island; Vivat Trust, Jersy, Channel Islands etc.
Simon, a member of Ikoyi club (1938) and golfer would bring his
vast experience, social contacts and international network to
bear on the IMFB Insurance Brokers Limited. |
